Porto Alegre establishes the participation at Gramado Tourism Trade Fair

In a meeting that took place in the beginning of May at the Tourism Office of Porto Alegre city,  it was  confirmed the participation of Rio Grande do Sul State´s capital at the 24th Gramado Tourism Trade Fair, to be held from 22 to 25 next November. In this reunion at the Tourism Office were Marta Rossi, CEO of Festuris, the Tourism Secretary of Porto Alegre, Raul Mendes da Rocha and the adviser Sérgio Prade.


Besides the space to be occupated in the Business Fair, Porto Alegre will also join the route to be followed by the caravans of international journalists and tour operators, organized by Festuris, in order to make them know better Gramado and other destinations in the “Gaucha” Hillside, during the period of the event. Marta Rossi confirmed the comming of a group with 45 professionals from Latin America, Italy, Germany and Spain, supported by TAM Airlines and, to be soon arranged with TAP Air Portugal, also the comming of another group of journalists and operators from other European countries.

“In the last editions of the event, we count on the support of Porto Alegre at the reception of these professionals and our desire is to continue this partnership with the State capital”, says Marta Rossi, informing that is already confirmed the representation of 30 countries in Festuris 2012. Mendes da Rocha emphasized the international importance obtained by Gramado Tourism Trade Fair. “Following the example of the previous editions, our purpose is to be present in a more qualified way, as we are getting closer to the Fifa World Cup 2014 and we are in need to promote the brand Porto Alegre as a Cup headquarters in Rio Grande do Sul”, he said.
