Created in June 2011 to divulge and mainly to keep informed all participants of Festuris - Gramado Tourism Trade Fair, the event´s page at Facebook (www.facebook.com/festuris) surpassed the 2.000 followers mark this week.
The social networking service, nowadays one of the most used worldwide for the divulgation of companies and its interaction with the clients, is a simple tool in which are spread every day news on Festuris and also about the tourist trade in general. This service allows the divulgation from short notes to important news, in order to update the event´s followers.
“We have created Festuris page at Facebook because we are aware of the social networking importance today. We can´t stop and, according to the event´s growth, our aim is to bring it up-to-date by means of new tools” says Festuris CEO Marcus Rossi. Besides Facebook, the Festival also presents an official Twitter (@festurgramado) with over one thousand followers. All the news are posted in the two social networks simultaneously.
On the opinion of specialists in digital medias, the adhesion of companies, products and events to social networks is a “road of no return” and must take place the sooner the better. Communication Dr. Dado Schneider is writing a book on the subject and since 2008 divulges the growth and the adhesion of people and enterprises mainly to Twitter and to Facebook. “As it has happened a ‘boom’ related to the use of the e-mail and the MSN ten years ago, the same will apply to the social networks within a maximum period of three years. Who has joined it is a step ahead of those who haven´t noted the importance of communication in the virtual world”, finishes Schneider.
